Taylor Swift kicked off the international portion of her Eras Tour last week in Bueno Aires, Argentina and fellow Pop star, Britney Spears, paid tribute with a pair of throwback photos.

The first photo is dated 2003, when Swift was working hard to open doors in the industry, and the second is from 2008, when Swift made her very first appearance at the MTV VMAs.
“This is way back when but kinda cool,” Spears captioned her post. “During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door. My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager… he said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’”
She continued, “I was like of course !!! He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar I was like wow wow she's unbelievable !!! We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation.”
Spears wrapped by admitting she has a “girl crush” on Swift before changing tones and addressing a statement made by her mother in regards to her recently-released memoir.
