This morning we spoke with Laura who is a mother fighting to keep her son’s wheelchair-accessible van. My beautiful 14-year-old son José Enrique has cerebral palsy, and this adapted van is his only way to safely get to school, physical therapies, swim classes, and medical appointments. He is turning 15 this November, and as he grows and gets heavier, his custom wheelchair simply does not fit into a standard car anymore.
