Joining Demi Lovato, Karol G, Måneskin and Stray Kids are none other than Lil Wayne, Anitta, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

Returning to the VMAs stage for the first time in more than a decade, Lil Wayne will perform his new single “Kat Food,” live for the very first time after its debut on September 1. The 14x nominee will once again compete in the Best Hip-Hop category with for “Kant Nobody,” a collab with Swizz Beatz and DMX.

Anitta will return to the MTV stage, with another medley, this year from her latest EP Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story, and will also be competing for Best Latin for “Funk Rave,” the same category she won last year for “Envolver.”

After months of Twitter wars and dropping hit singles, Doja Cat will be making an appearance on the MTV VMAs stage. It will be her first since her gravity-defying performance of “Been Like This” and “You Right” in 2021, where she also took home two awards including Best Collaboration. Doja is up for 5 awards this year, including Best Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, and Best Collaboration for “I Like You ( A Happier Song)” with Post Malone.

Making her MTV VMAs performance debut, Ballerini is set to perform a song off the expanded version of her EP Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, cleverly subtitled (For Good), while TOMORROW X TOGETHER, nominated for Best K-Pop and Push Performance of the Year, will premiere a brand new single alongside fellow performer Anitta.

The MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Tuesday, September 12 at 8PM ET / PT live from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
