Adam Sandler’s upcoming comedy is a family affair.
“You Are So Not Invite dot My Bat Mitzvah” will be appearing on Netflix and is an adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom’s 2005 book of the same name. Sandler's daughters and wife have roles in the movie.
Sunny Sandler stars as a seventh-grader named Stacy getting ready for her big bat mitzvah with best friend Lydia. Trouble stirs up when Lydia steals Stacy’s crush.
When Stacy begins acting out, her sister (played by Sadie Sandler) and mom (Idina Menzel) warn they’ll call of the bat mitzvah if she doesn’t cool it.
Real life Sandler wife and mom, Jackie, plays a family friend.
Along with the family Sandler, the movie also features Luis Guzman, Ido Mosseri, Sarah Sherman, Dylan Hoffman, Jackie Hoffman, Dan Bulla, and Zaara Kuttemperoor.
“You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” will arrive on Netflix Aug. 25.
