The ball wasn't the only thing that dropped in Times Square on new year's eve. Newly engaged couple Danny and Asha night ended in a panic. The ring had slipped off her finger and fell down a grate in the sidewalk. The couple tried to get it out themselves for about an hour and then decided to get help from FDNY.
The firefighters with Engine 249, Ladder 113 saved the day! They used a bunch of hangers to fish the ring out of the grate.
