32-year-old Laura Cummings is setting out on a 100 mile run in an effort to raise money for student-athletes. Laura will be running from Calhoun High School to Montauk Point. She hopes to complete the 100 mile run in 100 hours.

Cummings says her goal is to raise at least  $127,000 so she can grant a $1,000 scholarship to one student-athlete from each of the 127 public high schools on Long Island. After her father passed away in 2008, The John Cummings Memorial Scholarship Fund was founded. He was someone who was always there for her, and now, she wants to be there for the seniors.
