Jimmy Buffett’s legacy continues to live on with the release of a brand new video showcasing his love for animals.

Fans got a special treat today with the release of a new music video Buffett filmed in partnership with the ASPCA before his September 1 passing. The “Like My Dog” video features never-before-seen footage of Buffett with his dogs and a message promoting pet adoption.
The video and accompanying song showcase the unconditional love given by dogs — something that brought a smile to Buffett’s face regularly throughout his life.
“The dedication and humanity Jimmy Buffett put into his music crossed over into his love for animals, especially pets and wildlife,” ASPCA President/CEO, Matt Bershadker said in a statement. “This collaboration honors Jimmy’s legacy and animal advocacy and reflects our shared commitment to help vulnerable dogs find safe and loving homes."
According to the ASPCA, Buffett found inspiration for the video after his fans shared their own special connections with their dogs via the hashtag #likemydog. Some of Buffett’s favorite clips even made the video. Check it out above.
