(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 20-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder for killing a Bridgeview man in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Village spokesperson Ray Hanania says Anthony Calderon of Bedford Park is accused of shooting 39-year-old Arturo Cantu after he remote-started his car and was walking to it on Wednesday around 5 a.m. in the 7300 block of West 79th Street.

Surveillance video from nearby businesses helped identify Calderon, who was taken into custody last night.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Calderon was scheduled to appear in court Saturday morning.
