James Holzhauer, the Jeopardy champion who won 32 straight games, earning a total of $2,462,216, is using some of at money for good in Alex Trebek's name.
As with all of us, Alex has been James mind since his diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March. Since Alex is near-remission, James took the opportunity to do something for Alex.
James donated a portion of his winnings to a Chicago-area pancreatic cancer walk!
A resident of James former town reached out and invited him to the 2019 Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk in July.
James is unable to participate in the event, so instead he sent a donation for $1,109.14. James wrote the message, "For Alex Trebek and all the other survivors."
While you might be confused by that dollar amount, it makes a little more sense when you realize it is his daughter Natasha's birthday.
Always nice to hear good people giving back anyway they can!
