John Stamos got to reminiscing with Dave Coulier on the “Full House Rewind” podcast.
On a recent episode titled “Our Very First Night,” the former “Full House” actors remembered the show’s beginnings and even discussed their late friend and costar Bob Saget.
Nearing the episode’s midway point, Coulier and Stamos started talking about how the writer’s would put more “complicated, physical” bits in for the two actors, with Stamos adding how you had to be “spot on” with those during a run through.
He went on, saying, Saget was seeing Coulier and Stamos get these big laughs with physicality and worried about being just a “straight man” in the cast.
That’s when Saget’s character Danny Tanner got the attribute of cleaning the house nonstop, going so far as to vacuum a vacuum. Or as Stamos called it all, “the dusbuster thing.”
“It drove Bob nuts,” Coulier added about all the cleaning.
The pair went on to discuss how Saget was a serious “laugh junkie” always looking for a chuckle from the audience or cast.
“He always had to get his hit,” Stamos remarked.
Bob Saget passed away Jan. 9, 2022.
