DUPAGE COUNTY (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A west suburban woman is going to prison for biting a police officer.
Tyler Russell, 27, has been sentenced to four years in state prison for biting the bicep of the police officer who was arresting her in June of 2020.
The DuPage County state’s attorney said a Glendale Heights police officer suffered a substantial injury. He has since recovered.
The officer had been sent to stop an argument that was going on in a parking lot on Gregory Avenue when he smelled alcohol and saw open cans of beer in the cupholders.
Russell was in the driver’s seat, ordered out of the car and put under arrest but not before she resisted and bit the officer.
