(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 290 early Sunday morning, according to Illinois State Police (ISP).
It happened in the westbound lanes of I-290 near Damen Avenue shortly after 3 a.m., officials said.
Troopers responded to a report that two vehicles crashed, and upon arrival they found that two people died.
A pedestrian was among those killed, officials said.
Three other people were transported to the hospital with injuries.
No further details were released. ISP is investigating.
