One of the most iconic shots from the original "Mission: Impossible" is TOM CRUISE being lowered by cables into the CIA headquarters vault . . . and accidentally being dropped until he's just inches from the floor.
It turns out that shot was REALLY hard to get, because Tom had trouble balancing his body. In an extra from the new, 25th anniversary Blu-ray, he says, quote, "We were running out of time, and I kept hitting my face and the take didn't work."
He finally asked the crew for POCKET CHANGE, which he put in his shoes as counterweight.
