Oreo decided a few years back to start cranking out whatever random flavors they could think of.
According to some industry experts in a recent article on BoingBoing.com, when those random flavors come out, they sell pretty well . . . but traditional Oreos sell even better. Sales of regular Oreos have jumped 22% since they started regularly pumping out new flavors.
They believe it's because the new flavors are basically free advertising for original Oreos . . . and make people remember how much they like Oreos.
