TEANECK, N.J. (WCBS 800) -- Officials are investigating the death of a 7-year-old girl after she drowned in a backyard pool at a New Jersey house on Sunday.
Police were called to a the house on Westervelt Place in Teaneck where the child was found at the bottom of the pool just after 6 p.m.
The officers performed CPR and the girl was transported to Holy Name Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The owners of the home have been renting their in-ground pool for private parties for over than a year on an app known as Swimply, according to the company website.
An investigation remains ongoing.
