NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A group of men stole three mini school buses from a Bronx parking lot early Tuesday—the second time the lot has been raided for buses this week, police said.
Three to four men broke a gate to the lot at 1488 Blondell Ave. in Westchester Square around 12:30 a.m. and drove off in the yellow buses, according to cops.
They were last seen fleeing eastbound on Eastchester Road in the buses.
It's the second bus theft at the lot since Sunday morning, when one bus was stolen. Police sources told the Daily News the first break-in may have been a dry run for the larger operation Tuesday.
None of the buses have been recovered, and no arrests have been reported, as the investigation continues.
