Crowder had just come off the COVID list and had been dealing with a groin injury but a report Sunday morning stated that he would be in the Jets’ lineup for the game, but that turned out to be false.
Mims, meanwhile, continues to be a curious case for the Jets.
The 2020 second-round pick played just three snaps last week against the Panthers and lags behind the rest of the receiving corps in knowing every position, which is required for backups.
