
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage on Friday of a man accused of stealing thousands in equipment from a Downtown Brooklyn subway storage box last December.
It happened at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 inside of the Atlantic Avenue - Barclays Center subway station on the northbound D, N, R platform, authorities said.
According to officials, the suspect cut the locks on a mechanical box with a circular saw. He then proceeded to remove electronic equipment valued at approximately $60,000 and fled the station to parts unknown.
There were no injuries reported in this incident.
