Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is dead after shots rang out in an area of Hartford in the middle of the day, sending people scattering Wednesday.
It was around 1:30 p.m. when officers responded to the area of 1063 Capitol Avenue on a citizen report of shots fired.
When they arrived, a male victim living at that address was found unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later pronounced dead.
Wednesday night, police identified the victim as Jared Floyd, 25.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation.
