They say they're planning for an influx of visitors with three major events all happening around the same time.
Day two of Hartford Taste takes place at Constitution Plaza from noon until 9:00 p.m.
The Hartford Yard Goats are hosting the Somerset Patriots at Dunkin' Park. First pitch is set for 6:10 p.m.
And the Dave Matthews Band pays its yearly visit to the Capital City.
The gig is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Xfinity Theater.
Police say to expect heavier than usual vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the afternoon and evening downtown.
